North Dakota State’s 39-game win streak was snapped in a 38-14 loss to Southern Illinois. The Bison were looking for their 40th straight victory and were chasing Oklahoma’s record set from 1953-57.

The Sooners posted a legendary streak of 47-straight wins during that time span. In a time of leather helmets, OU created the standard of excellence in the NCAA with 47 straight victories. Oklahoma won two national championships during that stretch. The streak ended in 1957 with a 7-0 loss to Notre Dame. No FBS school has reached 40 straight wins since.

North Dakota State is the most recent college to try and bypass Oklahoma on the winningest college football list but to no avail. OU remains safe at the top.

The accumulator, or acca, is the bet that can go so right, or so wrong, because of its increased level of risk.

What you do is put together a series of bets, usually on the same thing, across multiple matches.
